3 Yummy Foods for Babies

It's really easy to get into the habit of feeding your little one the same foods day after day. These nutritious picks are a nice break from rice cereal or mashed bananas:
1. Couscous. These tiny grains make it the perfect first pasta for baby. Choose a plain variety and use some chicken broth vegetable broth in place of some of the water for added flavor. It cooks up in just 5 minutes.
2. Avocado. It's smooth and cramy, with a mild flavor. Plus, this fruit is loaded with vitamin C, folate and potassium, as well as healthy monounsaturated fat. Just mash it with a fork - no cooking required!
3. Hummus. This spread made from chickpeas and olive oil contains protein, fiber and heart-healthy fat. Spread it on bread or toast for an older baby to snack on.
